1　AWID開発と女性国際会議のご案内
11月14日から17日まで、南アフリカのケープタウンで開発と女性国際会議という女性活動者の集まりが開催されます。私も参加したいと思っています。皆様ともご一緒できるとうれしいです。世界的な女性運動の構築がテーマです。発表の締め切りが迫っているようなのでお知らせします。
Call for participation: The power of movements- On November 14-17, 2008, up to 1,500 women’s rights activists from around the world will gather in Cape Town, South Africa, for the 11th AWID International Forum on Women’s Rights and Development. The objective of the forum is to debate and strategise about how to build stronger women’s movements globally. スペインで大規模な女性や女性運動についての集会が開催されます。研究的な要素だけでなく、フィルムやパーフォマンスもあるとのことです。
Call for participation: Mundos de Mujeres/ Women’s Worlds 2008 - University Complutense of Madrid - Women’s Worlds is an international congress on academic research on gender, women and feminist social movements. Since the first congress in Haifa, Israel in 1981, it has gathered over 40,000 people from around the world. The University Complutense of Madrid (UCM) is the organizer for the 2008 congress. Mundos de Mujeres / Women's Worlds 2008, to be held on 3-9 July 2008, is open to proposals in all fields and themes related to women, gender and sexuality in contemporary societies, as well as historically, with emphasis on two central themes: violence and migrations. But organiser explains that these themes are by no means the only ones to be addressed at the conference. Proposals may be submitted for individual presentations, entire sessions, performances, films, roundtables, workshops, conversations, or individual papers on any topic dealing with Women’s Worlds. 3　ウガンダで、緊急産科ケア、中絶後のケア、HIV/AIDS、紛争･災害など緊急事態のもとでのジェンダーに基づく暴力など、緊急時のリプロダクティブ･ヘルスをテーマにした会議が6月18日から20日に開催されます。こちらも発表の締め切りが今月末なので紹介します。
Call for abstracts: Reproductive Health in Emergencies Conference 2008- To be held at Speke Conference Centre in Kampala, Uganda on June 18-20, 2008, the conference organiser welcomes abstracts that discuss findings and programme implications concerning the following themes related to humanitarian emergencies in the developing world:

· Safe motherhood including emergency obstetric care and post-abortion care, family planning, STIs/HIV/AIDs, and gender-based violence among populations affected by conflict and natural disaster;

· Collection and use of reproductive health data for needs assessments, programme monitoring, and evaluation and programme management;

· Reproductive health service delivery during crisis, stabilization, post-conflict and re-development

· Reaching all populations, including women, youth and men, with reproductive health service delivery during crisis;

· Successful models of partnerships among local, regional and international organizations;

· The increasing involvement of reproductive health agencies in humanitarian settings;

· The protracted nature of crises;

· Advocating for policies and funding which support the provision of reproductive health for populations affected by conflict or natural disaster; and,

· Other topics relevant to the field of reproductive health in emergencies.
